We’ve been hearing a lot of rumours that another Nintendo Switch console is in development and it is expected to hit our shelves very soon. Sadly all we have for now is rumours because nothing much is officially confirmed by the developers but let’s discuss what we know so far, What we are expecting and when can we get our hands on this upcoming Nintendo Switch? So without further ado, let’s dive into it!

As for now, Many people are calling this upcoming console as ‘Nintendo Switch 2’ but many critics believe that it will be called ‘Nintendo Switch Pro’. We’ve already seen a ‘lite’ version of Nintendo so a Pro version is likely.

Officials have confirmed that Nintendo Switch console is under development but they haven’t told us anything more than that but one thing was confirmed that this new Nintendo Switch console will have a similar design to its previous models but we might see some tweaks at the time of release because you never know.

Nintendo has already released a lite version of Nintendo Switch a couple of months ago so it’s highly unlikely that Nintendo will be eying to release this next-gen console anytime soon. Moreover, Nintendo’s biggest competitors, PlayStation and Xbox’s next-gen consoles are hitting the market at the end of 2020 so it’s possible that we can see a release date of late 2020 for this Nintendo Switch Pro.

Since the first day, Nintendo Switch is priced somewhere around $300 and the lite version is priced at $200 so what will be the price of Nintendo Switch Pro? Well, As you know that it will be a next-gen console and it will have the potential to go toe-to-toe against its competitors so it’s possible that Nintendo Switch Pro might cost you more than $300.

A lot of AAA titles are coming out in 2020 and most of them are expected to be released on Nintendo Switch as well so we can expect some spectacular games coming to Nintendo Switch that will blow our minds. As we know that this console will be a next-gen console so there’s a chance that most anticipated 2020 games of upcoming games like GTA 6, Skull & Bones, Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok and more will hit this upcoming Nintendo Switch Pro.

According to TechRadar, Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to have a longer battery timing than the original Nintendo Switch and it’s expected to last between 4 to 9 hours which would be a significant improvement to its predecessor. Nintendo users have been complaining about the battery timing of the original Nintendo Switch but this improvement will put a smile on many faces.

Nintendo gamers would love to see their console faster than ever and rumours are that Nintendo Switch Pro will be faster than it’s predecessor because it will feature Nvidia’s chip that is specifically designed for this console. This upgraded chip will definitely boost the performance of the Nintendo Switch Pro which results in faster loading times and much more FPS.

Nintendo Switch Pro will be competing with Playstation5 & Xbox Series X and both of them will have support for 8k so Nintendo Switch Pro must have a better resolution and probably a bigger screen so users can enjoy the ultimate gaming experience.
